Information about the institute

The correspondence faculty was established on March 15, 2004 based on the Kyrgyz State Law Academy. By the decision of the Academic Council of KSLA dated February 20, 2017 (protocol #6). The Faculty of Distance Learning was renamed the Faculty of Distance Learning and Distance Learning.

The mission of the faculty- training highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of jurisprudence in demand in the labor market. Distance learning with the use of distance learning technologies (DOT) is a form of education that combines the features of self-study and full-time study using DOT.

This form of education is convenient for people engaged in labor activities, as well as for citizens living outside the capital and the country as a whole, since it allows you to get an education similar to full-time training.

Moreover, the cost of education at the Faculty of Distance Learning is much lower than full-time education.

The Faculty of Correspondence and Distance Learning is a structural subdivision of the KSLA, implements professional educational programs of higher, postgraduate and secondary vocational education in the direction of "Jurisprudence" and prepares:

Bachelors in the following profiles:

  • "Forensic and prosecutorial activities";
  • "Civil law".

Normative term of study

  • on the basis of secondary education - 5 years;
  • on the basis of secondary vocational education - 4 years;
  • on the basis of higher education - 3 years.

Masters in the following master's programs:

  • "Administrative law, financial law, customs and tax law";
  • "Bar and Notary";
  • "Criminal procedure, criminalistics, operational-search activity";
  •  "Criminal law and criminology, penal law";
  •  "Judicial power, prosecutorial supervision, organization of law enforcement".

The normative period of study for master's programs is:

  • on the basis of complete higher legal education - 1.5 years;
  • on the basis of Basic Legal Education (bachelor's degree) - 2.5 years;
  • on the basis of higher non-legal education - 3 years;
  • on the basis of Bachelor's degree (non-legal education) - 3.5 years.


Symbols and attributes

Faculty logo

The circle is a symbol of infinity, ideal absolute and perfection. The circle is an endless line, enclosing time and space.

Purple color contributes to the development of sensitivity and the ability to see events with an open mind, outside the fuss and pettiness. He helps in developing ideas and making plans.

Tunduk is a symbol of the father's house, in a broader sense, and the world as a universe. Tunduk personifies not only the strength of the house, way of life, age-old traditions of the people, but also the deeper philosophical unity of earth and sky.

The tunduk symbolizes the unity of the peoples living in our country.

Libra acts as a symbol of justice, and in this sense is associated with justice;

The book is a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, teaching, enlightenment, science and literary activity.

The map of the Kyrgyz Republic in the background marks distance learning from anywhere in our country and the availability of education for any citizen in our republic.

Faculty symbol

Homing pigeon - pigeons that were previously used to convey messages, symbolizes distance learning and distance learning. A pigeon accustomed to its place of permanent residence, being introduced even at a very long distance from home, returns to its nest as soon as possible.
