The Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences and Humanities is an educational and methodological and scientific unit of the Kyrgyz State Law University (KSLA), which carries out educational, educational and methodological and research activities, extracurricular work among students, training and retraining of specialists with higher education, as well as scientific – pedagogical personnel of the highest qualification – undergraduates in the areas of 530500 – Jurisprudence, 580100 – Economics, 580900 – State and municipal administration, 710300 – Applied informatics, specialties 530002 – Forensic examination, 530004 – Customs.
Year of foundation
The department “Philosophy and social and humanitarian disciplines” was formed by the decision of the Academic Council of the KSLA on September 30, 2003.
Since September 2005-2006 academic year, the department is called the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences and Humanities.

Activity of the department
The teachers of the department provide teaching of the disciplines of the social and humanitarian cycle: history of Kyrgyzstan, manas studies, philosophy, conflictology, legal logic, pedagogy and psychology, cultural studies, sociology and political science, philosophy of law, sociology of law, methodology of scientific research.
