Institute Information

The Institute of Master’s and PhD Programs is a structural educational and scientific unit of the KSLA, which implements master’s programs in areas, as well as PhD doctoral programs in jurisprudence.

Graduate Degree Programs:

1) Master of Laws:  

– «Judiciary, prosecutorial supervision, organization of law enforcement activities»;

– «Administrative Law, Financial Law, Customs and Tax Law”;

– «Business Law, Civil Law, Land Law»;

– «Criminal law and criminology; penal law”; 

– «Advocacy and Notary»;

– «Criminal process, forensics.

2) Master in Economics Program

– «Legal regulation of business».

Terms of study in the 

Graduate Degree Programs:

1) on the basis of higher specialized education (specialty) – 1 year (full-time) and 1.5 years (distance education);

2) on the basis of higher specialized education (bachelor’s degree) – 2 years (full-time) and 2.5 years (distance education);

3) on the basis of higher non-specialized education (specialty, master’s degree) – 2.5 years (full-time) and 3 years (distance education);

4) on the basis of higher non-specialized education (bachelor’s degree) – 3 years (full-time) and 3.5 years (distance education).

Master’s programs are designed for university graduates with bachelor’s or specialist’s qualifications, aimed at career growth or developing their own business and motivated to research activities.

Within the framework of training in the magistracy, a significant role is assigned to the independent research work of the student:

– writing a master’s thesis;

– passing research and pedagogical types of practice;

– performing a variety of time-consuming independent tasks.

The flexible schedule of the educational process allows full-time and part-time master students to combine study with work, since classroom lessons are held on weekdays in the evening.

The content of educational master’s programs meets the requirements of state educational standards of higher professional education.

Upon completion of training, graduates are awarded the qualification “Master”. 

PhD doctoral programs in the field of “Jurisprudence”:

Doctor PhD is a qualification awarded based on the results of the defense of an independent research (dissertation) containing new scientific results and evidence of the author’s personal contribution to science.

PhD admission rules:

Persons with a higher professional education, confirmed by a “master’s” or “specialist’s” diploma, have the right to enter doctoral studies.

– Enrollment in the number of PhD doctoral students is carried out by the selection committee on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations.

– The term of study is 3 years only on a full-time basis, on a paid basis.
