Awards and titles

The Kyrgyz State Law University has established a number of awards and titles: the R. Turgunbekov and K. Nurbekov awards, as well as the titles "Honored Worker of the KSLA", "Title of Honorary Doctor of the KSLA", "Honorary Professor of the KSLA".

In order to increase the prestige of the legal profession and consolidate the legal corporation of the Kyrgyz State Law University, the Kubanychbek Nurbekov Prize and the Rafik Turgunbekov Prize were established, which are distinctions awarded for their contribution to the creation of a democratic society and the development of the institutions of the rule of law.

Kubanychbek Nurbekov-the first Doctor of Law of Kyrgyzstan, laid the foundations of state law as a science. Author of two hundred scientific papers and studies. He participated in the publication of the national encyclopedia of Kyrgyzstan, was a member of the editorial board and became the author and editor of significant studies on the theory of state and law. One of the authors and editors of the Kyrgyz text of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Soviet Socialist Republic, adopted in 1978, contributed to the formation and development of the national science of the theory of state and law. Already at the age of 18, the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR awarded him the medal "For Valiant Labor in the Great Patriotic War".

Turgunbekov Rafik Turgunbekovich-Doctor of Law, Professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the Committee of Constitutional Supervision of the USSR. He has published more than 100 scientific papers, including 6 monographs. He was awarded medals of the USSR, the Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Kyrgyz SSR.

These awards are designed to draw the attention of the general and scientific community to the great importance of jurisprudence, as well as to recognize scientists who have made contributions in the field of legal science.

The Rafik Turgunbekov Prize is awarded for outstanding contribution to the development of legal research, the Kubanychbek Nurbekov Prize is awarded for the best scientific achievements in the field of legal science of young scientists, including:

  • research works in promising areas that make a significant contribution to the development of legal science;
  • work on the protection of human rights and freedoms and the solution of other important tasks for the republic in the field of legal policy;
  • development of new educational technologies that significantly increase the level of training of specialists in the field of "Jurisprudence»;
  • create textbooks, teaching aids, and training equipment.

The awards include a diploma or certificate and a badge of the laureate, and a sum of money. The badge (medal of the laureate) is a circle made of yellow metal, on the front side of which there is an image of R. T. Turgunbekov, with the inscription in the upper part "R. T. Turgunbekov atyndagy syylyk", and in the lower part – the image of a bay leaf. On the reverse side there is a symbol in the form of the coat of arms of the KSLA in a circle in the upper part – "Kyrgyz State Law Academy". The badge (medal) of K. Nurbekov for attaching to clothing has a rectangular pad covered with a light blue moire ribbon.

The title of "Honorary Doctor of the KSLA" is awarded to doctors of science of the Kyrgyz State Law University or other higher educational and research institutions, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as citizens of other states who have made a significant contribution to world and domestic science and the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, the research development of textbooks.

The" Honorary Doctor of the KSLA "is presented with a mantle, a special medal with the inscription "Honorary Doctor of the KSLA" and a diploma signed by the rector of the KSLA. The portrait of the honorary doctor of the KSLA is displayed in the KSLA. "Honorary Doctor of the KSLA" from the funds of the KSLA can be set a monthly remuneration in the amount of three minimum wages. Honorary doctors of the KSLA are honorary members of the Academic Council of the KSLA.

Applicants for the title of "Honorary Professor of the KSLA" can be professors, doctors of sciences in exceptional cases-associate professors, candidates of sciences, other persons who have made a significant contribution to the domestic legal science and training of scientific and pedagogical personnel, a great contribution to the development of the KSLA, widely known for their works in the field of science and problems of higher education; developed textbooks and contributed to the introduction of new teaching technologies.

The" Honorary Professor of KSLA "is solemnly presented with a mantle, a special medal with the inscription "Honorary Professor of KSLA" and a certificate signed by the rector of KSLA.

"Honorary Professor of KSLA" remains a member of the department for life, has the right to take part in all the affairs of the department, in meetings with the right to vote, regardless of whether he holds a full-time position or not.

The "Honorary Professor of the KSLA" may receive a monthly remuneration in the amount of three minimum wages from the funds of the KSLA.

In order to provide moral incentives to employees who have made the most significant contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of law, the title "Honored Employee of the KSLA" was established.

The title "Honored Employee of the KSLA" is awarded to persons who have worked at the KSLA for at least 3 years, who have made an important contribution to the educational and scientific work of the KSLA, who perform their official duties in a highly professional and conscientious manner, who have received awards and commendations for their work, as well as who have significant success in teaching activities for the training of highly qualified specialists, active introduction of new technologies, forms and methods of organizing and conducting classes in the educational process, ensuring the development of students 'and post-graduate students' independence; high achievements in scientific research on problems of a fundamental, search and applied nature.

Including the problems of education, as well as the introduction of scientific achievements in the educational process and the management of research activities of students and postgraduates, success in the development and publication of educational literature and providing teaching of academic disciplines with methodological materials, visual aids and technical training tools; noticeable positive results in the organization of financial and economic activities, the development and strengthening of the material and technical and educational and laboratory base of the KSLA and the performance of auxiliary functions in the organization and implementation of educational and research processes
